What I expect from future episodes of Glee

I am expecting in future episodes of Glee that Vocal Adrenaline and New Directions will finally have to come face to face in competition. I am guessing that Jesse will end up abandoning Rachel and New Directions and return to Vocal Adrenaline and Rachel will be crushed to find out that he was lying to her the whole time. I think that Rachel will go running into Finn's arms because she's sad and needs someone to comfort her. I also think that soon the plot will return to being more about Quinn and her impending pregnancy. I also am curious to see what's going to transpire between Mr. Schuster and Emma.

This Week's Glee

I just wanted to give a quick synopsis of what happened on this week's episode of Glee. The episode is called "Laryngitis" because Rachel loses her voice. Puck is forced to shave his head and loses his popularity because of it. He notices that Mercedes had become extremely popular so he decides that if he can make Mercedes his girlfriend, then he can resuscitate his popularity. Meanwhile, Rachel and Jesse are on the rock so Finn is eagerly persuing Rachel. Rachel reports to Mr. Schuster that many members of the Glee Club haven't been pulling their weight, so Mr. Schuster gives each member of the Glee Club an assignment to each sing a song that reflects the point of their life that they are in at the moment. Finn decides to sing a ballad for Rachel, Puck sings a song for Mercedes, and Kurt sings a song demonstrating his manly side. Mr. Schuster accuses Kurt of not being true to himself.

Glee Auditions

Glee recently conducted open auditions for the newest cast member via myspace. Anyone interested could post a video of themselves singing a song and acting out a monologue online and it would count as an official audition for the show. Friends, family members, or the general public could go online and watch people's audition videos and award them stars if they thought it was their favorite audition video. I am interested to see who the casting directors will choose as the newest cast member and how big of a part it will be in the actual show.

First Glee post

For those of you that have never seen the show Glee, I will give you a brief synopsis of one of my favorite tv shows. Glee tells the story of a high school glee club. When the Glee Club first starts out they have very few members and next to no funding from the school. The principle tells the teacher in charge of the Glee Club (Will Schuster) that if the Glee Club doesn't make it to regionals (competition) that they will no longer be able to exist at the school. This is the ongoing challenge for the Glee Club in addition to avoiding harassment from the jock and bullies at the school, who make the members of Glee Club their Target.

When the Glee Club starts out it has very few members. One of the first members, was a girl named Rachel Berry. Rachel is your typical overachiever. She insists on being a diva and throws a fit if she is not given the lead vocal for each song. She is extremely uptight and is often described as being a hot dork. She is the victim of much criticism from her peers. Another original member of the Glee Club is a a boy named Kurt. Kurt is gay and is still struggling to feel comfortable in his skin and help his dad to be comfortable with his orientation. Another original Glee Club member is Mercedes, an extremely outspoken African American girl with an incredible voice. When the Glee Club first starts out it has very few members, but Mr. Schuster is forced to recruit more members because there is a requirement that the Glee Club has a minimum of something like 11 members. Mr. Schuster is able to recruit the quarterback of the football team and his girlfriend who is the head cheerleader. Along with them, several other football players and cheerleaders join the team. The cheerleaders are encouraged to join the team by their cheerleading coach (Sue Silvester) who sees the Glee Club as a threat and wants her Cheerios to spy on Mr. Schuster and the Glee Club.

The Glee Club's status improves slightly with the addition of the new members but it is still not seen as "cool" by the bulk of the school.
